I've wanted to go to Africa ever since a co-worker told me it was the best vacation experience she had ever had. I flew to Johannesburg and caught a flight the next day to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. After a few days in Victoria Falls I returned to Johannesburg to meet up with a group from Backcountry Journeys. The next day we flew to Chobe and spent a few days on the Chobe River. From there we went to the Okavango Delta and then on to Mashatu.

The population of wild dogs is decreasing to the point where they've been identified as endangered. The culprit is rabies, which the dogs are particularly susceptible to since they feed not only their young by regurgitating the food in their stomachs, but other adult dogs as well.
